Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Remova Waste collects when you use this website or ask us for a quote, what we do with it, and your rights. We keep it as simple as we can.
1. Who we are
Remova Waste is the "data controller" for the information described here, meaning we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us about your information at info@removawaste.co.uk.
2. What information we collect
When you complete the quote form or contact us, we collect:
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Job and location details: the address, town and postcode of the collection, the floor, whether there is a lift, access and parking notes.
- About the waste: the types and amount of waste, your description, and any notes you add.
- Photos of the items you want removed (see section 4).
- Dates and times you would like us to collect.
If you email, message or call us we also keep a record of that conversation. If you book a job we keep details of the job, the price and payment, and any paperwork such as a waste transfer note.
We do not ask for, and you do not need to give us, sensitive information such as health details. Please do not include it in your notes.
This website itself does not collect any personal information automatically other than what is described in section 10.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

| Deal with complaints and claims, protect our business, keep this website secure and prevent spam | Our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Reply to general enquiries | Our legitimate interests in running our business (Article 6(1)(f)) |
We do not use your information for automated decision-making. We will not send you marketing emails or texts unless you have asked us to, and you can stop them at any time.
4. About your photos
Photos are used only so we can price and plan your job. Please take photos of the items, not of people. Try to avoid showing faces, letters, documents, screens, number plates or other personal details. If a photo accidentally includes something personal, tell us and we will delete it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website hosting provider and our email provider, who process information on our instructions;
- Our team, so the right people can carry out your job;
- Disposal sites, regulators and authorities where we are required to by law or need to for waste paperwork;
- Professional advisers such as accountants or insurers, where needed;
- anyone else, only if the law requires it or you ask us to.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Quote requests that do not become a booking (details and photos) | Up to 12 months, then deleted |
| Photos for completed jobs | Up to 12 months after the job, then deleted |
| Job records, invoices and payment records | 6 years, for accounting and tax purposes |
| Waste transfer notes | At least 2 years, as the law requires |
| Complaints and claims | Until resolved, plus up to 6 years where a legal claim is possible |
7. Sending information abroad
Some of our providers (for example email or hosting services) may store or process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as a UK adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so your information keeps a similar level of protection.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, in some circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask for the information you gave us in a portable format, where it applies;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email info@removawaste.co.uk. We will normally reply within one month. We may need to check who you are first. There is no charge unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
9. Keeping it secure
We take sensible steps to protect your information, including using a secure (HTTPS) connection on this website, limiting who can see quote requests, and using password-protected accounts. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your details safe.
10. Cookies and this website
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your device sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when a page loads. See our Cookie Policy for details.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
